The first portable toilet hire company in South Africa

Sanitech was founded in 1974 as the first portable toilet hire company in South Africa to supply sanitation facilities to areas in which no sanitation infrastructure existed. Today, Sanitech’s Toilet Hire division has over 26 branches nationwide and 4 branches in Africa (Namibia and Mozambique) and has the largest rental fleet in the country with over 30,000 units and 330 vehicles.

Sanitech was founded in the early 1980’s. The Hygiene division was established in 1996 and in 2007 Sanitech became part of the Waco International group.

Our Environmental Policies are strictly adhered to and we have achieved OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 accreditation. In a recent assessment from SASOL we achieved an 82% safety rating, enabling us to conduct work on petrochemical plants. This is a testament to our commitment to health and safety.

Being part of the Waco International group, we are able to access the latest innovative technologies and designs from around the world. We continue to invest heavily on upgrading our range and fleet and recently acquired an additional 60 state of the art mobile trailers from the US to upgrade the special event fleet.
